Job Title: Senior Paralegal – Real Estate & Probate Industry Specialist
Job Responsibilities: Paralegal assisting with all real estate matters, estate planning, probate and estate administration, and trust administration.
Duties include reviewing documents, drafting documents, eFiling pleadings in all Oregon courts; Research, assisting clients with their duties as personal representatives for estates; etc. I work closely with our clients to assist them with their legal needs.
School/Training: College of Southern Idaho, Portland Community College – Paralegal courses; and 34 years of on-the-job training while working with for senior partners. Some may call that the “school-of-hard-knocks.”
Experience: 34 years working as a paralegal. Areas of law have included: criminal, child support enforcement, tax law, environmental law, business law, real estate, estate planning, probate/estate administration and trust administration.
Years working with Mark: 28 years and still counting!
Prior Employment: Various firm names while working 26 years with Mark O’Donnell, include O’Donnell Clark & Crew LLP; O’Donnell & Clark LLP; and O’Donnell Ramis Crew Corrigan & Bachrach LLP.
Prior to that, I worked at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt, Portland, Oregon; Christopher James P.C., Portland, Oregon, and Jerome County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jerome, Idaho.
In addition, I have freelanced for other Portland law firms.
Personal Interest/Activities: Hobbies include fishing – my favorite thus far is salmon fishing; camping, downhill skiing, gardening, and canning. Looking forward to learning to Kayaking this year.
